Essay Competition
Tamils.mu and Kambar Mooneetra Kouttam has the pleasure to collaborate on a Tamil Essay competition. Mauritians of all ages are invited to participate in the 3 different categories mentioned in the poster. Please send your Essays on the email provided in the Poster, with clear details of your Name, Address and phone number.
The deadline for submission is 17th May 2020.
Results will be announced on the 1st of June 2020
Certificate of participation will be given to all participants.
Candidates will be marked as follows:
- Originality
- Presentation
- Language/ grammar
- 5 extra points will be awarded for clarity and writing style
Children under 12 years can submit their essay in handwritten format, but please ENSURE that the picture is CLEAR and we can easily distinguish the writings.
Who can participate:
- Any Mauritian (whether in-country or abroad) who has at least one contact person/address in Mauritius, you can be of any religion or any community
- Any expat currently living in Mauritius and have a Mauritian address.
What you get
- All participants will get a certificate of participation
- All participants will have some good practice in Tamil, the oldest living language in the world
- All participants will receive a corrected copy of their work.
